FAQs
Where did the name LIFT come from?
-
Well, you probably think it comes from the fact that you 'lift' the bottle opener as your removing a bottlecap, right? But really it has more to do with our mission, and our desire to uplift others. So, the name for the product was derivative, and comes from our sincere commitment to supporting Those living with disabilities. You can read a little more about it on our About page. Great question!

How can I become more involved in the UPLIFT 'give back' mission? I'd like to learn more about it.
-
That's great – we think it's a noble cause! Check out the About page to start, and then send us in inquiry using the Contact page, and one of our team members will point you in the right direction.
-
It's a volunteer organization so there are many ways to support them, either financially or with your time – both are welcome!

Have you thought about other colors?
-
Giving you a choice was a big part of the reason we designed the LIFT opener using both metal and plastic – it gives us the flexibility to create color options. It was tough to narrow it down to the three 'launch' colors, we hope you can find your favorite!
-
Regarding future colors, we've thought about a whole bunch of alternatives, but we're waiting to see which ones 'fly off the shelf' with this first order. Future colors will be impacted by sales – so your purchase selections will inform our decision-making process. Also, feel free to provide feedback through our Contact page.

Do you support wholesale orders?
-
Yes! If you own a retail store and are interested in carrying LIFT products send us an email using the Contact page. Be sure to designate 'wholesale', and one of our team members will reach out shortly to discuss opportunities.

And, what about "customizing" or "co-branding" the LIFT opener?
-
We are definitely open to the idea and are willing to discuss this with wholesalers.
-
We expect this might also involve alternative packaging, and on that point, would only make financial sense to do it on a larger scale.

What can I do if the refrigerator magnet keeps sliding?
-
First of all, let me assure you that we did a lot of testing with the refrigerator magnet strength – and we selected a magnet that we thought was more than strong enough to stay in place under the weight of the LIFT Opener. But every refrigerator door is slightly different in terms of its 'metal composition' – so in some cases the magnet will slide.
-
It's important to have the Hook in direct contact with the door. If you are trying to keep a picture or a child's artwork stuck to the door as well, this could cause it to slide. Try moving the Hook so that it's in direct contact with the door.
-
If this doesn't work, then I would suggest putting a piece of double stick foam tape on the back of the Hook and stick it to the door that way. It's not what we intended, but in some cases, this will be the best solution.
-
Also, it may work best if you magnetically 'stick it' to the side of your refrigerator (assuming you have access). Most refrigerator cabinets are built from steel.

Can I return items if they were received as a gift?
-
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
-
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he or she will find out about your return.

Still waiting for your refund?
-
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
-
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
-
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact Customer Support.
